Just Plain Joe is a beautiful 16.3 hand Black/Bay Thoroughbred Stallion who is a race winner of $73,000 and is sired by the great Alydeed who won $930,000 including winning the Queens Plate which is the Canadian equivalent of the KY Derby. His dam is by Alyar who ran a close second in all three triple crown races against Affirmed. His pedigree reads like the who’s who of all time great race horses including Mr. Prospector, Northern Dancer, Man O’War, Fappiano, Shadeed, and Nijinsky II.
After his race career, Just Plain Joe has begun a second career as a sire, and a horse show competitor in a wide range of events including dressage, jumping, halter conformation, working ranch horse, reining and performing trick horse presentations.
The Thoroughbred is accepted into more other breed associations than any other breed. You could breed mares to Just Plain Joe that are registered with any of the following associations and produce registered foals: the American Quarter Horse Assoc., The American Paint Horse Assoc., The Appaloosa Horse Club, of course Thoroughbreds, and also Friesians, Arabians, Morgans, Trakehners, Hanovarians, Oldenburgs, and many other warm blood and pony registries.
Just Plain Joe has shown exceptional talent in a wide range of disciplines, in addition to proving that he has speed. His long, slim neck and low head carriage and overall balanced and correct conformation, combined with his flat kneed suspended movement, and the impulsion from his powerful hind quarters, enable him to excel in dressage, jumping, hunter under saddle, and pleasure driving, as well as endurance riding, working ranch horse, reining, western pleasure, and even halter. His intelligent calm disposition has made it easy for him to learn to do tricks, which are actually difficult maneuvers that require concentration and athletic ability.
Just Plain Joe’s race career ended when he stepped on a shoe that another horse had thrown on the racetrack resulting in a broken coffin bone. The coffin bone has healed and Joe is currently 100% sound!

Need More Winners?
Joe comes from an excellent female family that has produced a very high number of winners from foals. Fapulous Star, Joe’s Dam, produced 8 winners from 10 foals with two stakes horses including SHE’S A DEVIL DUE, grade II winner of $533,820 Joe’s second dam produced 12 winners from 15 foals with 3 stakes horses including LUV A LIBRA, a grade II placed stakes winner of $348,083.
